The monumental "Armadillo" dining table by Atelier Barberini & Gunnell is a rare sculptural masterpiece that seamlessly blends design, craftsmanship, and scale. Conceived and handcrafted in Italy, its dramatic base is formed from mirror-polished stainless steel, lavishly plated in 24-karat gold. The polished surface reflects its surroundings in fluid abstraction, creating a dynamic interplay of light and form. For a more industrial expression, a version in pure stainless steel without gold plating is also available.

Its top is carved from an extraordinary live-edge slab of solid Iroko wood—meticulously selected from the atelier’s private archive of rare, long-dimension slabs. These unique, organic forms, once sourced from decades-old stock, are no longer obtainable today, adding to the rarity and value of the piece. Mahogany is also available by request. The live edge retains the raw soul of the wood while contrasting the precision and lustre of the sculptural base.

Measuring approximately 138” L x 49.25” W x 30” H, the table comfortably seats up to 12 guests.
